Crimescene Game
Developing and testing interviewing skills

Type: Simulation

View example

Instructions:
  1. Click the picture of the Crimescene game.
  2. Read the instructions.
  3. Click I'll start right now.
  4. Continue through the simulation until you think you can identify the robber.
  5. Click Solve it to see a list of suspects to pick from.
  6. Pick a suspect and read your feedback.
What to notice:
  • Two-level feedback. You receive situational feedback from the responses of the person you are interviewing and coaching feedback in the form of a replay and critique of your actions.
  • Minimal media usage. The simulation achieves engagement without animation and video by creating a scenario that the learner can easily imagine.
  • Consequences visible. Learners can explore the consequences of appropriate and inappropriate actions. They can learn as much by being a bad cop as they do by trying to do everything right.
