Bloopers and blunders in e-learning design
Even
smart developers make dumb mistakes. All that hard work! Then one hour after
you put it online, you realize it is never going to work.
In this presentation,
we look at tragically common goofs in screen layout, navigation, multimedia,
interactivity, organization, colors, graphics, text, authoring tools, management
tools, standards and usability testing. See the not so good, the bad, and the
truly ugly. Come up with ways to fix these
problems and avoid them in the future.
At the end of this presentation, we consolidate our
wisdom into best practices. Attendees
are encouraged to submit samples of development bloopers and blunders that
they have seen (or created!?!?!) and help other developers avoid the same pitfalls.
